Weekend Warrior: 03/16/2012

Is it Games and Beer, or Beer and Games this weekend?

By Nate Gillick on 3/16/2012
It's Saint Patrick's Day this weekend, which makes it an excellent time for adult beverages (if you're old enough), good times with friends, and plenty o' video games! Here's what we're doing this weekend, but what will you be playing? Feel free to let us know in the comments!

Nate Gillick - This weekend marks the end of my first week at me new job. To celebrate, I'm having a bunch of friends over for a gaming weekend! (That's gaming of the board and card variety. Think Dominion, Arkham Horror, Apples to Apples, and Gloom.) I'll probably have little time for my Xbox, but where time presents itself, I'm working on Dark Souls will all the determination I can muster.

Mike Bentley - Still playing mass effect.

Ben Harrison - Like everyone else, I'm still pretty deep into Mass Effect, though I'm still working through my Steam backlogs as well. It's always interesting to start some odd game from some forgotten sale and find that it still has a vibrant, thriving online community, sometimes even a few years after its initial release. Oh yeah, stil playing ProgressQuest, too.

Nick Schneider - I will be making heavy progress in Star Wars: Force Unleashed which means I will probably have it beaten this weekend. I also can never seem to escape Modern Warfare 3, and in this prestige am working on my quick scoping ability, which frustrates my squad mates, but I'll have the necessary skills and the idea down soon enough.

Dan Jones - Well I finished Mass Effect 3 today so I will just cry some more about the ending (no I didn't actually cry, but my eyes did well up a little bit). This means I can finally return to my playthrough of Skyrim. After the heavy sci-fi of Mass Effect I could use a nice fantasy adventure to cleanse the pallet. Then again, I could just play Bastion for the seventh time. If I was going to be home with my Playstation 3 I would start my new Journey but that will have to wait until next week.
