Legacy of Kain Reboot A Real Possibility

Some franchises, like Mass Effect, are given tender loving care by a single company from their inceptions to their conclusions. These series are given the opportunity to maintain coherence and thematic stability over their lifespans and are given respectable send-offs when their time is over. Others, like Legacy of Kain, are passed about between studios, brutally mutilated and haphazardly stitched together only long enough for them to stumble their way through the next year. Hope has finally breached the horizon for fans of the troubled action franchise, however - and its name is Crystal Dynamics.

This is the same studio that is planning to reboot Tomb Raider. We can't help now but to imagine them as costumed crusaders, cruising around the industry and snagging up battered franchises, giving them a safehouse from the cruel realities of development inconsistency. All we ask, Crystal Dynamics, is that you treat Legacy of Kain nicely; it has been through a lot and deserves to be happy. Please take care of it and let us see it in a few years when it's better.
