Halo 4 Boxart Revealed

343 Industries sends out cryptic emails for internet sleuths

By Ben Harrison on 5/15/2012
Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries really know how to get gamers excited for Halo. In keeping with its I Love Bees campaign that required gamers to solve puzzles to uncover clues about Halo 2, 343 Industries recently launched a unique campaign for Halo 4 gamers began receiving unknown pictures via email. Sent in bulk and labelled "Your piece of the Halo 4 puzzle," gamers all over the internet scrambled over various forums, trying to find out who had which pieces they were lacking in order to finish the picture. After finding all of the missing pictures, the image became quite clear.

Like any good teaser, the answer leaves many with more questions than they had in the beginning. Where is Master Chief? What's going on behind him? Is that a space ship being sucked into an even larger spaceship of some kind? Who knows!

What is confirmed so far, however, is that Master Chief will indeed be returning for this game, as well as two other direct sequels. Unlike the first 3 games in the Halo series, the new trilogy is being written as one cohesive story spanning three games. The game is scheduled to be released on November 6th, and Microsoft will be present at E3 and will more than likely present more information about the game. So until then, we'll just have to keep wondering and hoping for more puzzles in the meantime!

This looks fantastic! I can't wait for E3 and the eventual release :) Hopefully it keeps it's release date though.
