E3 2011: ArmA III Unveiled

Strap on your gear and begin the pre-flight, war is coming

By Sean Long on 6/8/2011
ArmA is a term familiar to anyone who knows the difference between a first person shooter and a military simulation.  The ArmA series has brought us ultra-realistic games that push the boundaries of what a good military simulation can be, and the latest entry to the series (ArmA III) gives us a huge amount to be excited about.  Check out the video below and prepare to salivate:

The ArmA series is targeted towards people who want a truly realistic interpretation of modern combat.  Based on previous experience with the series, we can expect the use of modern military hardware (such as the Comanche seen in the video) and intricate squad and company-based tactics and equipment.  While not quite as fast-paced as a modern shooter such as Battlefield 3, ArmA provides for a true simulation of modern combat.

This game is exhausting, 3 people to drive a tank... realistic simulation is dry and boring, no thanks. The dialogue is AWFUL.
My evaluation is based on the "free play."
