Borderlands 2 Collector's Edition Ready for Pre-Order

With two tiers of swag, most pre-orderers will find what they need.

By Dylan Coffey on 5/17/2012
This has been a good week for fans of special edition releases; yesterday we brought you the details on Halo 4's Limited Edition, and today we have for you the scoop on Borderlands 2's Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition as well as the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. Priced at $99.99 and $149.99 respectively, these special editions offer treats tailored both to fans of basic pre-order bennies and of elaborate physical goodies. Both editions include membership in the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club, which includes a few shortcut items and access to the Mechromancer, as we revealed before.

As shown above, the Collector's Edition includes a sticker set, a key for a digital comic book download, a unique game case, a cloth map of Pandora, an art book, and a Marcus Kincaid bobblehead.

The Limited Edition includes everything from the Collector's edition as well as a set of postcards, mock-ups of Sir Hammerlock's field notes, a wide-format Creatures of Pandora ID chart, a vending machine box for the Marcus bobblehead, a heavy-duty steelbook case, and a certificate of authenticity. The whole package is bound up in a replica of the iconic Borderlands loot box - appropriately enough. Both packages are available for pre-order now in preparation for the game's September 18th release date.

I'll just be getting the regular edition. I was really hoping for a Claptrap statue, or exclusive DLC. This stuff isn't wort h the extra cash to me. Super excited for the game though!

I saw the Limited Edition pic and it's pretty Epic. Definitely worth the price for a fan of Borderlands.
