I believe the episode was a political stab at the douche bags that are actually going to pass laws that say domestic violence isn't a crime. The heavy tone was a reflection the subject itself. You can't make domestic violence funny and you damn sure can't make it legal.

There are several characters that could make the cut. Like Jonny Gat from saints row who can call and old fashioned drive by, or Kaim from Lost Odyssey using his final blade skills.  I can see how dynamic characters are harder to find because a lot of the characters xbox has are from shooters or aren't exclusive.
