graphics do not make games good, i would rather have a good game with low graphics the a bad game with good graphics because if i wanted very realistic  graphics id stick to real life nothing looks more real. I think Nintendo is doing good graphics have been the downfall of the modern game.

agree, i think we need to get people to work more on improving story lines then graphics, as cool as the next gen stuff looks my heart still goes out to the old ps1 (and a few ps2) games with bad graphics but amazing storyline.

I think your approach on this is far to narrow minded you talk like the only thing that makes a system worth buying is how good of graphics it can play. you act like all the other features that the wii u offers mean nothing the quality of graphics that nintendo's current system can put out are fine sure they might not be the super real crap that have killed most games now days but who cares the more you push graphics the more you play with falling into to uncanny valley and that can kill games worse the "not as good" graphics, games should not be made or sold just off art and graphics alone, but based on the game its self from story to play style its much like the saying dont judge a book by its cover, its the same with game. now im not sure what you call a hardcore gamer but i have had many days where i spent 16+ hours playing games i have clocked 100's of hours on games and if that dosent make me a "hardcore" gamer well with the trends of gamers now days i dont think i even want to be called a gamer people have given that title a bad rep by part in doing just what you are, you only want graphics and you try and shun anyone that tries to give you something different even if the games could be far better just because the system is not as powerful. as for my self as both a consumer and a designer i will stand up and thank nintendo for daring to be different and look and with much excitement at all the thing that they could do with the WII U
